This blog

The main features of this blog are:

• It's a simple weblog based on 'Google blogger'. This means it is free but the use of Google does impose some constraints on design. 
• The blog is public. That is anyone who has the address can view it.
• I am the main administrator. This means I can set the design, and moderate and edit what is added. Bob Welch (Treasurer) also has admin rights so he can keep an eye on me.
• To post a notice on the weblog (on the home page), I need to give you permission. Permission is currently limited to committee members but we would be happy to add others as appropriate. Otherwise just email me and I can post suitable material for you.
• Anyone can add comments but I will moderate and remove any inappropriate.
• I've included several supporting pages; these are accessed via the tabs (eg Programme). I think the number and use of pages will change as the Society itself develops.

I would hope that this blog will be supported by members. I would like to think it is more than an electronic noticeboard. I however fully appreciate that not all members have access to the internet and we need to ensure that these people are not left out of our communications.
